Job summary

BAE Systems Australia is seeking a Safety Engineer to join the Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) Acquisition team. You will lead safety engineering activities across Safety In Design, System Safety and Product Safety, identifying hazards, assessing risks and implementing mitigations.

Reporting to the JORN Product Safety Manager, you will develop artefacts such as safety case reports and hazard analyses, support delivery teams, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update safety artefacts (safety program plans, hazard analyses, safety case reports).
• Support delivery teams with safety engineering solutions and guidance.
• Act as technical advisor on safety activities and liaise with stakeholders.
• Identify, review and assess hazard reports and engineering changes for safety impacts.
• Develop and maintain product safety risk assessments.
