Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to support the E-7A Wedgetail AEW&C program. Based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW, you will contribute to continuing airworthiness management and 21J engineering activities within the Airborne Mission Segment Sustainment team.

You will develop hazard analyses, manage risk, and lead safety reviews, while collaborating with Defence stakeholders and mentoring the system safety team toward engineering delegations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate deep understanding of system safety engineering processes.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering meeting Engineers Australia (MIEAust) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and manage hazard analysis and risk assessments.
• Perform hazard log management.
• Host system safety working groups.
• Develop, review and manage Safety Case Reports, and System Safety Review Boards.
• Undertake engineering investigations.
• Support retained risk reviews and emerging safety issues investigations.
• Liaise with Defence stakeholders to coordinate services and artefacts for the E-7A Safety management system.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership within the system safety team.
