Job summary

Amazon Australia Team is seeking a WHS Coordinator for the Sort Center. The role reports to the WHS Manager and supports safety standards, inspections, and regulatory compliance on site. A strong communicator with teamwork values is essential to guide colleagues and model safe behaviours.

The position is hourly paid, with Monday–Friday 8am–4pm shifts; shifts may rotate based on business needs. Ready to work occasionally weekends, nights, or holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in safety- or risk-related field.
• 1+ years of MS Office experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
• Facilitate risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations.
• Enter safety incident information into the internal database in a timely manner.
• Perform safety observations and audits.
• Coach others to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, Inspections, etc.).
• Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.
• May have additional responsibilities for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities depending on the business unit and location.
