Job summary

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd - F47 in Sydney is seeking a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join the Australia team. This hourly role reports to the WHS Manager and supports safety across the Fulfillment Center, working Sunday to Wednesday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM with potential shift rotations.

The candidate will be trained in standard WHS tools and practices, communicate effectively, and engage associates while upholding high safety standards within the FC.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Bachelor's in Safety related field or Cert IV in WHS.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through inspections.
• Facilitate incident investigation process.
• Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations.
• Enter Safety incident information in internal database in a timely manner.
• Perform safety observations & audits.
• Coach others to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, Inspections).
• May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management or other safety activities.
• Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.
