Job summary

Laing O'Rourke in Sydney is seeking a Senior-Associate Fire Safety Engineer to lead fire protection design from concept to completion, including sprinkler systems, hydrants, smoke control, and fire strategy.

The role requires coordinating with architects, builders and other engineering disciplines to deliver compliant, sustainable, and practical solutions while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring designs meet Australian standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fire protection/building services design.
• Degree in Fire Engineering or related field.
• Chartered (CPEng) or working towards is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design from concept to completion, including sprinkler systems, hydrants, smoke control, and fire strategy.
