Due to internal movement we have an exciting position opening in West Australia within our Services Team!

Reporting to the Head of Services WA; our Safety Advisor will champion a safety first culture - to promote standards that adhere to our corporate and legislative responsibilities to keep all stakeholders safe at work!

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Services, WA the Safety Advisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with client, company and legislative health, safety, and environment standards.

This is a hybrid position which will include regular travel to site.

Tasks include
  • Support health and safety initiatives and promote a safety culture within our operations.
  • Provide WHS advice to Management, supervisors, and employees.
  • Regular travel to site to complete audits, risk assessments and workplace inspections to ensure our on-site activities align to the Companys regulatory obligations.
  • Report any non-conformances and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Work closely with global ESH team to ensure we address environment factors that present risk to employees and public safety.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to investigate and administer any safety incidences or near misses and provide recommendations to Management Team for corrective actions.
  • Administer Work Cover Claims and co-ordinate RTW programs for injured workers in consultation with medical practitioners and Human Relations.
  • Collaborate with QLD Safety Advisor to ensure monthly Safety Topic is well documented and delivered within toolbox awareness meetings.
  • Perform specific safety administration and reporting tasks as assigned within MyOSH and other.
Your profile
To be successful in this position youll need
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of WHS and environmental legislation, regulations, standards, and Codes of Practice.
  • Ability to thoroughly and impartially investigate and work towards resolutions effectively.
Experience & Qualifications
  • + 3 years in Safety Advisor Role. (req)
  • Cert IV in WHS (min); ideally Dip. WHS or high (req)
  • Cert IV in Training Assessment (TAE40116) (advantageous)
  • First Aid and Mental Health First Aid Qualifications
