Job summary

UGL Limited is seeking a Safety Advisor for the Narrogin Wind Farm project in Western Australia. You will work on-site with construction teams to ensure daily safety and compliance across civil, electrical, and transmission works.

You will report to the Site HSE Manager and help identify hazards, run toolbox talks, and support incident investigations while fostering a strong safety culture on a major renewable energy development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HSE Advisor in construction or high-risk projects.
• Experience across construction, civil, infrastructure, power, utilities, mining or oil & gas.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Strong field presence with a practical safety approach on site.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a DIDO, 10:4 roster.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site walks and inspections, identify hazards and implement controls.
• Provide practical safety advice to supervisors, contractors and crews.
• Support pre-starts, toolbox talks and daily safety conversations.
• Assist incident reporting and investigations and track corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE documentation and foster a positive safety culture on site.

Safety Advisor - Renewable Energy Project - Narrogin WA

Here's an opportunity to bring your construction safety experience into the growing renewable energy sector.

UGL's New Energy team is delivering Narrogin Wind Farm, approximately 160km south-east of Perth.

At around 200 MW, it's a significant renewable energy development and a great opportunity to be part of a major project through construction and delivery.

You don't need to come from renewables. If you're an experienced HSE or Safety Advisor from construction, infrastructure, power, utilities, mining projects, oil & gas or another high-risk project environment, we'd like to hear from you.

About the role

You'll be out on site and close to the work, supporting supervisors, contractors and crews across the day-to-day construction program.

Reporting to the Site HSE Manager, you'll provide practical safety support across civil, erection, electrical and transmission works, helping the team identify and manage risk and maintain strong safety standards throughout delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Spend time in the field completing site walks and inspections, identifying hazards and making sure the right controls are in place.
• Provide practical safety advice and support to supervisors, contractors and crews.
• Support pre-starts, toolbox talks and day-to-day safety conversations across the project.
• Support incident reporting and investigations, including following through on corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE documentation and compliance while helping build a positive safety culture on site.

About you

• Previous experience as an HSE Advisor, Safety Advisor or Senior HSE Advisor in a construction or high-risk project environment.
• Experience across construction, civil, infrastructure, power, utilities, mining projects or oil & gas.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Strong field presence with a practical, hands‑on approach to safety and confidence working with crews, subcontractors, supervisors and project leaders.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a site-based role and available to DIDO on a 10:4 roster.
