Job summary

CPB Contractors, in joint venture with UGL, is delivering a multi-megawatt data centre project in Truganina, Melbourne. We seek a Safety Advisor to drive safety excellence, support frontline leaders, and foster a proactive safety culture.

You will report to the Safety Manager within the project safety team and lead inductions, audits, and risk management activities on site. The role requires a WHS Certificate IV or equivalent, strong knowledge of safety legislation, and proven communication with

Qualifications

• Experience in a Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor, or similar role within construction, infrastructure, energy, resources, or related industries.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Ability to influence safe behaviours and build strong working relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Support risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and critical risk management activities.
• Provide practical health and safety advice to frontline leaders and workers.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, standards, and company procedures, and assist with incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of a positive and proactive safety culture.
