Job Description

Within this context, the Assistant Director, Strategy and Operations provides strategic leadership across priority ICT reform, service design and divisional operations. The role leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of strategic initiatives that strengthen the department’s digital capability, support system-wide service quality, and align ICT investment and delivery with the department’s broader Strategy for Public Education and emerging priorities. The position plays a central role in shaping and delivering the future-state direction of ICT Services, including leading priority work to support safe and effective use of AI, transition high-value functions previously delivered through the Digital Guarantee Unit into sustainable business-as-usual models and contribute to development of a revised ICT Strategy and operating model. Beyond these priorities the Assistant Director, Strategy and Operations plays a lead role in identifying and shaping emerging and future strategic priorities and initiatives of the ICT Services Division.
