Job summary

The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) is seeking an APS5 SADA Auditor in Canberra to contribute to IT audit, cyber, AI-enabled auditing and data-focused reviews across diverse government environments. You will test general IT controls and emerging technologies, aligning with the ANAO Core Capability Framework.

You will gain broad experience in both large and small agencies, with technical training and networking opportunities to support your professional growth in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyse systems, cyber and/or data risks.
• Strong project management and administration skills.
• Willingness to develop AI-assisted audit skills.
• Effective communication skills to explain technical findings simply.
• Team-oriented with solid judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Undertake fieldwork supporting SADA activities, including project management, systems assurance, cyber security reviews, data analysis and AI-impacted processes.
• Document work undertaken in support of SADA activities.
• Contribute to risk assessment activities incorporating digital, cyber and system-level risks.
• Prepare audit papers and assist in draft reporting.
• Support entity engagement and maintain productive working relationships.
