Murrumbidgee Local Health District is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager for the Murrumburrah-Harden Health Service to lead day-to-day operations, ensure safe, high-quality patient care, and support a high-performing nursing team in a rural setting.

The role offers permanent full-time employment with a competitive salary ($143,997.20 per year + superannuation + 17.5% leave loading) and NSW Rural Health incentives. Flexibility includes hybrid work options and varied hours to suit the role.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and demonstrated clinical leadership experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams while fostering a positive workplace culture.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across healthcare services.
• Commitment to delivering patient-centred care, clinical governance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Sound problem-solving, service management and resource management skills, with the ability to drive change and improve service outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate nursing services to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
• Manage staffing, rostering and workforce resources to meet clinical and operational requirements.
• Foster a positive workplace culture through leadership, coaching, mentoring and staff development.
• Drive clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives and compliance with relevant standards and policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
