Job summary

Corryong Health is looking for a Health Care Worker to support older people and people with disability in our rural community. You will provide essential personal care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, helping with daily living tasks and activities that promote wellbeing.

We value compassionate team players, clear documentation, and adherence to safety standards. A recognised aged care qualification and good communication skills are essential, with a NSW/Victorian driver’s license

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care including showering, mobility and social support.
• Evidence of an approved aged care course (Certificate IV or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Corryong Health Vision, Purpose and Values.
• Knowledge of the Aged Care Act, NSQHS standards and related safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication, reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding and interest in needs of older people and people with disability.
• Basic computer skills.
• Desirable: Valid Victorian or NSW Driver’s License.
