Job summary

Corryong Health is seeking a dedicated Health Care Worker to provide essential personal care and emotional support under the direction of the Registered Nurse in a rural setting. You will help clients with daily living, mobility, showers, and social activities, aligning with our values and national standards.

Strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills are required, with a willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care including assisting with activities of daily living, showering, mobility and social support.
• Evidence of having undertaken an approved course in Aged Care through a recognised training organisation (e.g., Certificate IV).
• Knowledge of Corryong Health Vision, Purpose and Values.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Act, NSQHS standards.
• Excellent communication, reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work as part of a proactive multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding/interest in the needs of older people and people with disability and their families.
• Basic computer skills.
