Job summary

JBS Australia is seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to join the RTO National Training Team, supporting our Feedlot Division. You will deliver Nationally Recognised Training across feedlot operations and work within a national team.

Based at Beef City or Riverina Feedlot, you will report to the Team Leader - Training Delivery and help build capability across our workforce, with opportunities to train in other areas and travel interstate as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in workplace training and assessment is essential.
• Certificate IV TAEO or TAESS required or supported to achieve.
• Certificate III in Feedlot Operations or equivalent skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accredited and non-accredited training and assessment.
• Support learners to achieve qualifications, notably Certificate III in Feedlot Operations.
• Collaborate with site management, supervisors and learners to meet training outcomes.
• Develop and deliver technical task training and workplace assessments.
• Expand training delivery into other operational areas over time.

JBS Australia is looking for an experienced Trainer & Assessor to join our RTO National Training Team, primarily supporting our Feedlot Division.

You'll deliver Nationally Recognised Training across our feedlot operations while working as part of a broader national team supporting training initiatives across JBS Australia.

Based at either Beef City or Riverina Feedlot, depending on your home location, you'll report to the Team Leader - Training Delivery and play an important role in building capability across our workforce.

About You

• Do you have a passion for working with people in Agriculture and assist them to learn to grow?
• Do you have a passion working with livestock and care about animal welfare?
• Are you someone who takes pride in having great attention to detail?
• Hold current Certificate III in Feedlot Operations or equivalent skills and experience.
• You will need to have very strong customer service skills and be able to work within the team dynamics of the National Training Team

Your work experience and background will be in Agriculture and include livestock handling. You will support our Feedlot training, and we would also like to develop your versatility to train in other areas over time. Applicants must have previous experience in workplace training. However, if you don't yet have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, we will assist you to achieve this qualification as it is a requirement of the role. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accredited and non-accredited training and assessment in accordance with RTO standards.
• Support learners in achieving their qualifications, particularly Certificate III in Feedlot Operations.
• Collaborate with site management, supervisors, and learners to ensure training outcomes are met.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of technical task training and workplace assessments.
• Assist in expanding training delivery into other operational areas over time.

Role Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in agriculture, particularly in livestock and feedlot operations, preferably with cattle.
• Previous experience in workplace training and assessment is essential.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) is required. JBS will support suitable candidates to obtain this qualification if not already held.
• Certificate III in Feedlot Operations or equivalent skills and experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a national team.
• Experience with the design and delivery of workplace training.
• Prepared to travel interstate to other JBS feedlots as required.
