Job summary

St Kevin’s College in Melbourne is seeking an enthusiastic Rowing 2nds VIII Coach to join our outstanding Rowing program. You will work with our experienced coaching team to develop athletes on and off the water, creating a positive, inclusive, team-focused environment.

This role requires Level 1 NCAS - Rowing, WWCC and First Aid, with availability for before/after school training sessions and Saturday mornings. Desirable: VIT registration and a Light Rigid licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in Rowing as coach or as part of Rowing team.
• Level 1 NCAS - Rowing required.
• WWCC and First Aid certificate required.
• Anaphylaxis Awareness training completed or willing to complete.
• Available for before/after school and Saturday sessions.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performing crews and a positive team environment.
• Coach and mentor athletes on and off the water.
• Collaborate with the Rowing coaching team to plan training.
• Support student development and safety protocols.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated Rowing 2nds VIII Coach to join our outstanding Rowing program.

This is an exciting opportunity for a coach passionate in developing young athletes, building high‑performing crews and creating a positive, inclusive and team‑focused environment. Working alongside our experienced Rowing coaching team, you will play an important role in developing athletes both on and off the water.

About You

You are active in the rowing community and familiar with APS program. In addition:

• Experience in Rowing from either as a coach or as part of the Rowing team.
• Level 1 NCAS - Rowing
• Enjoyment working with students of varying abilities
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
• Hold a current WWCC and First Aid certificate
• Completed or willing to complete Anaphylaxis Awareness training
• Available for before or after school training sessions and Saturday mornings

Desirable

• VIT registration
• Light Rigid Motor Vehicle Licence
