Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a Roving Residential Manager to lead across the Sydney Metro homes on a permanent full-time basis. You will oversee occupancy, clinical governance and financials while traveling to support multiple sites.

This role offers career progression and exposure to senior leadership within a not-for-profit aged care provider. Ideal candidates are experienced Residential or Care Managers with nursing qualifications, AHPRA registration and the ability to travel across

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing and current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Experience managing a residential aged care home including clinical care, food services and administration.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation, Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance and AN-ACC.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term Residential Manager leadership during vacancies, extended leave or as required.
• Manage all operational aspects of the home, including occupancy, funding, budgets, rostering and labour costs.
• Maintain high-quality clinical care and resident-centred outcomes in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Lift leadership capability in homes that need support and mentor new Residential Managers during onboarding.
• Build trust with residents, families, teams and external health professionals.
• Lead safety, risk and compliance, including incident root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Roving Residential Manager - Sydney Metro

• Newly created Roving Residential Manager position - Sydney Metro region
• Permanent full-time role offering stability and progression
• 7 extra days leave + NFP packaging ($18,550) + travel reimbursement

Catholic Healthcare is a not-for-profit aged care provider with more than 6,000 employees and more than 30 years' experience supporting older people to live with dignity, purpose and connection.

To support continuity of care and operational excellence across our 40 residential aged care homes in NSW and QLD, we've created Roving Residential Manager roles. We're now seeking a Roving Residential Manager for our homes across the Sydney Metro region.

This is an ideal next step for an experienced Residential Manager or Care Manager who enjoys variety, solving problems and making a broader organisational impact.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will provide operational management and leadership support across your assigned Sydney Metro homes. You may also travel to homes in other regions as needed. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide short-term Residential Manager leadership during vacancies, extended leave or as required
• Manage all operational aspects of the home, including occupancy, AN-ACC funding, budgets, rostering and labour costs
• Maintain high-quality clinical care and resident-centred outcomes in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Lift leadership capability in homes that need support and mentor new Residential Managers during onboarding
• Build trust with residents, families, teams and external health professionals
• Lead safety, risk and compliance, including incident root cause analysis and continuous improvement

About You

You are a confident, adaptable aged care leader who can step into new environments and make an immediate impact. You will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in nursing (Bachelor of Nursing) and current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
• Significant experience managing a residential aged care home, covering clinical care, food services and administration
• A thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation, the Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance and AN-ACC
• A good grasp of business finances, including the ability to read and use a P&L
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills with high emotional intelligence
• Flexibility to travel across NSW and South East QLD
• A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• A postgraduate business qualification is an advantage but not essential
