Job summary

Ramsay Health Care’s Ramsay Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join on a permanent full-time basis in a rotational role across varied Community & Hospital Pharmacies.

You’ll work with a pharmacist to deliver safe, accurate dispensing and high-quality patient care, handling dispensing, counselling, prescription verification, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Community Pharmacy is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and general computer literacy.
• Flexibility, reliability and a passion for patient care.

Job description

We’re looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join Ramsay Pharmacy in a rotational role across varied sites on a permanent full-time basis. You’ll work at different Community & Hospital Pharmacies in a dynamic and supportive environment providing you with exposure to different sites and varied roles.

In this role, you’ll work closely with a pharmacist to deliver safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing services helping ensure every patient receives the highest standard of care.

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to pharmacy regulations and medication safety protocols
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, drug interactions, and storage requirements with empathy and clarity
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential contraindications using analytical and detail-oriented judgment
• Manage inventory, maintain pharmacy records, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and professional standards

About You:

• Certificate III in Community Pharmacy highly regarded
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues
• Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and general computer literacy
