Job summary

Ramsay Pharmacy Westmead Private Hospital in NSW is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support a Pharmacist, prepare medicines, advise patients, and help with daily pharmacy operations across hospital and retail settings.

This full-time position operates on a rotating roster with occasional weekend shifts, and offers involvement in imprest fills, inpatient and discharge medications, plus ward deliveries, backed by Ramsay’s leadership, education and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmacy or retail setting.
• Willingness to work in a team and collaborate to deliver excellent care.
• Certificate II in Community Pharmacy desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medicines with a qualified Pharmacist.
• Advise patients on medicinal and non-medicinal products.
• Assist with day-to-day operations and stock control in front of shop (ordering, receiving, catalogues).
• Support imprest filling on hospital ward when needed, and cover imprest technician.
• Assist in preparing inpatient and discharge medications and deliver to ward patients.

Job description

An exciting new Pharmacy Assistant position is available at Ramsay Pharmacy Westmead Private Hospital in NSW. This is aPermanent Fulltime position on a rotating roster which may rarely include weekend shifts.

As the Pharmacy Assistant, you will work closely with a qualified Pharmacist to prepare medicines, advise patients on medicinal and non-medicinal products, and assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations. You will be doing stock control in front of shop including ordering, receiving and catalogues.

We are a hybrid pharmacy site which serves retail and hospital both ends. You will be assisting in hospital ward imprest fill up when needed to cover imprest technician. You will be helping to prepare in-patient as well as discharge medications and deliver medications to ward patients. • Previous working experience in a pharmacy or retail setting.
• Certificate II in Community Pharmacy and S2/S3 qualifications are highly desirable but not essential.
