The Y Australia in Melbourne is seeking a Diploma-qualified educator to join Orchard Road Community ELC (Doreen) as Room Leader. You will oversee daily room operations, mentor educators and deliver a child-centred program that reflects each child’s interests and needs.

This full-time, permanent role includes a supportive team, professional development, and a nurturing learning environment within a not-for-profit childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA.
• Experience as a qualified educator, ideally as a Room Leader.
• Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day operation of your room.
• Lead and mentor educators.
• Deliver a high-quality program reflecting interests, strengths and needs of each child.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and educators.
• Work with management to achieve positive outcomes for children.
