Job summary

Only About Children Mona Vale is seeking a confident, caring and organised Room Leader for our Toddler room. As Room Leader you will guide learning, routines, safety, family communication and educator support to keep days calm and connected.

You will need a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher, plus experience leading a room or team, understanding of EYLF/NQF, child safety, and clearance checks.

Qualifications

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Experience leading a room or team.
• Understanding of the EYLF, NQF, child safety and inclusive practice.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
• Confidence managing room priorities, families and quality expectations.
• A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.

Responsibilities

• Shape the rhythm of the day with calm routines and clear expectations.
• Lead programs that follow children's interests and stretch new ideas.
• Guide planning, documentation, reflection and daily practice of educators.
• Oversee supervision, ratios, room routines and child safe practice.
• Build respectful partnerships and share my day with families.
• Contribute to QA processes, audits and quality outcomes.

Our purpose-built, two-level early learning Campus is located in the heart of Mona Vale, nestled within a peaceful residential pocket just moments from Mona Vale Beach and Apex Park. The location offers families a calm and welcoming setting, well connected by public transport providing convenient access for both families and team members.

I need a room where the grown-ups work together. As Room Leader, you will guide learning, routines, safety, family communication and educator support so children's days feel calm and connected.
