Job summary

BreakFree Grand Pacific Resort in Caloundra, QLD, is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to keep guest rooms pristine and welcoming. You will work within our Housekeeping team, ensuring high standards and attentive service for every guest.

This casual role offers base hourly rates with weekend and holiday loadings, and access to Accor ALL benefits. You’ll need reliability, a keen eye for detail, and the stamina to move between rooms and stairs while upholding guest privacy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cleaner or room attendant is a plus.
• Warm, welcoming communication with guests and colleagues.
• Eye for detail and good time management.
• Able to navigate stairs and stay physically active while cleaning rooms.
• Reliable transport and availability to work weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms (linen changes, bathrooms, surfaces) to create a great first impression.
• Follow guidelines to uphold high housekeeping standards.
• Restock and organise housekeeping trolleys.
• Use cleaning materials safely and adhere to safety procedures.
• Respect guest privacy and security at all times.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure a flawless experience.

BreakFree Grand Pacific Resort is located on the picture perfect beachfront of Caloundra, with a range of one, two and three bedroom apartments and resort style pool it is a busy favourite for travellers seeking a leisurely break. There is plenty to keep you occupied during your down time. Visit one of the many shops, café’s or restaurants overlooking Pumicestone Passage or soak up the sun and surf across a range of the Sunshine Coasts finest beaches.

Purpose

As a Room Attendant, you play a vital role in our Housekeeping department and dazzle our guests by keeping our rooms super clean and paying attention to every tiny detail. Your responsibilities extend beyond the physical tasks and include collaborating harmoniously within the team and helping guests whenever needed. Your dedication ensures that every guest has a wonderful stay, leaving with cherished memories of great hospitality.

The Role

Casual loading on all hourly rates! Base rate of $27.08. With Loadings: Monday - Friday $33.85ph, Saturday $40.62ph, Sunday $47.39ph and Public Holidays $67.70ph!

Adult wages for all team members 16 years and above

Primary Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean all sections of the guest rooms, such as changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, and wiping down surfaces, all to ensure an exceptional first impression

Work diligently within the established guidelines to achieve the impeccable standards we hold dear

Maintain and restock housekeeping trolleys, keeping them organised and well equipped

Use cleaning materials with care and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment

Respect guest privacy and security, upholding our commitment to their comfort

Report maintenance issues promptly, showing your dedication to a flawless experience

Skills and Experience

Previous experience as a cleaner or room attendant is a plus

Your communication style is warm and welcoming where guests and team members alike feel right at home around you!

You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks

You enjoy a physical role, navigating between rooms may involve using internal and external staircases and open pathways

You embrace collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds
