Job summary

Trade Safe Building, based in Sydney, seeks a skilled Roof Plumbing tradesperson with a Certificate III in Roof Plumbing and at least 2 years of experience. You will install, repair and maintain roof plumbing systems, perform re-roofing works, and ensure compliance with WHS and Australian building codes.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent.
• 2+ years relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain roof plumbing systems including gutters, downpipes and flashings.
• Perform full re-roofing works (Metal & Tile Roof) with removal and installation of new compliant systems.
• Install roof sheets, lead flashings, whirly birds, skylights, vent pipes, insulation, fascia, eaves and sarking.
• Diagnose and report roof leaks, damaged sheets, flashings, gutters and penetrations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure roof longevity and compliance.
• Ensure correct fall, alignment and water flow per AS/NZS 3500.
• Fit and seal roof penetrations, vents, skylights and pipe flashings.
• Fabricate and install roof flashings and metal roofing components.
• Test drainage systems and rooftop mechanical services as required.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders to coordinate work.
• Ensure all work complies with Australian building codes, standards and WHS requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair roof plumbing systems including gutters, downpipes, and flashings.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience

• Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing, and building construction
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
