Job summary

SCH Labour Hire in Victoria is seeking an experienced licensed Roof Plumber Supervisor to lead the roof plumbing team on site, keep jobs on schedule and up to standard, and still be hands-on when the job calls for it.

You will supervise crews across multiple sites, install and oversee gutters, downpipes, flashings and rainwater systems, read plans, set out work, and mentor apprentices, while ensuring compliance with Plumbing Regulations and AS/NZS 3500.3.

Qualifications

• Must hold Victorian Roofing (Stormwater) licence.
• Proven experience supervising roof plumbing crews.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater and roof drainage systems.
• White Card and working at heights training.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• EWP licence considered a plus.
• Experience on commercial and multi-unit residential projects.
• Experience fabricating and installing box gutters.

Key responsibilities

Supervising and coordinating the roof plumbing crew across multiple sites

Installing and overseeing gutters, box gutters, downpipes, flashings, rainwater heads and sumps

Reading plans and specifications, then setting out work for the team

Making sure all work meets the Plumbing Regulations, AS/NZS 3500.3 and site requirements

Running toolbox talks and enforcing safe work at heights

Checking quality, signing off work and liaising with site managers and builders

Mentoring apprentices and less experienced plumbers

About you

A current Victorian plumbing licence in Roofing (Stormwater) (essential)

Proven experience supervising or leading a roof plumbing crew

A strong working knowledge of stormwater and roof drainage systems

Construction induction (White Card) and working at heights training

A current driver's licence and reliable transport

Strong communication and organisational skills

Elevating work platform (EWP) licence (highly regarded)

Experience on commercial and multi-unit residential projects

Experience fabricating and installing box gutters

$50 per hour including casual loading, plus allowances

Ongoing work with a reputable plumbing company
