Job summary

SGS Fulcrum in Australia is seeking an experienced Robotics Operator to lead safe, effective delivery of inspection, survey, and monitoring projects using UAVs, ROVs, and UGVs across industrial and environmental sectors.

You will mentor teams, engage clients, contribute to project planning, and drive continuous improvement in robotics operations and data workflows, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) required.
• Experience operating UAVs, ROVs, and/or UGVs in relevant sectors.
• Proven leadership in field operations or project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of robotics platforms, sensors and inspection tech.
• Understanding CASA regulations, WHS, and risk management.
• Experience with GIS and spatial data software (ArcGIS, QGIS, Pix4D, Metashape).
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Experience in asset inspection, environmental monitoring, surveying, or industrial services.
• Strong report-writing and client-facing communication.
• Experience leading multiple projects and field teams.

About You

You are a hands-on technical professional with a passion for robotics and a commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

• CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
• Experience operating UAVs, ROVs, and/or UGVs within industrial, infrastructure, environmental, or resource sectors.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in field operations or project delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of robotics platforms, sensors, and inspection technologies.
• Knowledge of CASA regulations, WHS requirements, and operational risk management.
• Experience with GIS and spatial data processing software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Pix4D, or Agisoft Metashape.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Experience in asset inspection, environmental monitoring, surveying, or industrial services.
• Strong report-writing and client-facing communication skills.
• Experience leading multiple projects and field teams.
