Job summary

Aigen in Redmond, WA seeks an Assembly and Test Technician who will contribute to production planning, assembly of the 2027 robot fleet, and field tests. You will work on electrical integration, mechanical assembly, and lab-to-field testing to ensure reliability over years of operation on farms.

The role blends hands-on build work with data collection and troubleshooting, with travel to field sites and a typical 9-to-5 schedule, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical integration and wire harnessing (3+ years or equivalent).
• Ability to assemble to drawings/work instructions using standard tools.
• Experience running tests and collecting data with basic instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Build wire harnesses and handle electrical integration: crimping, connector assembly, cable routing and labeling, continuity and insulation checks.
• Assemble mechanical subassemblies and complete robots to drawings and work instructions, using hand, torque and automated tools.
• Build prototype robots and apply learnings to production builds.
• Write production plans: build sequence, work instructions, fixtures and tooling, station layout and throughput estimates.
• Set up production line and build subassemblies to plan; flag issues in drawings/BOMs/process.
• Run kitting and inventory: receive and count parts, kit for builds, keep stock levels and locations current.
• Run hardware tests with reliability engineer: thermal, vibration, IP, and system/software tests; log data and summarize results.
• Support field operations: deploy, service and troubleshoot robots at grower sites, and prototype next gen updates.
• Keep build/test records current with data entry in inventory and tracking tools.
