Job summary

The Department of Transport and Planning in Victoria is seeking a Road Delivery Lead to oversee road maintenance across freeways and arterial roads, including rehabilitation, resurfacing and routine works under the VRMC. The role demands strong project and contract management, risk awareness and effective stakeholder collaboration.

You will prepare technical documents, ensure safety and quality standards, and support project approvals while working with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Asset Management and/or demonstrated experience in road maintenance or related field.
• Willingness to travel to Bendigo and flexible work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver road maintenance across Victorian freeways and arterial roads under VRMC.
• Support preparation of high-quality project approvals in line with corporate requirements.
• Ensure quality, compliance and best practice while managing risks and resources.
• Prepare technical documents and reports; engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Show strong communication, negotiation and continuous improvement mindset.
