Job summary

Mount Isa Mines in Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia is seeking a Roads and Waste Grader Operator to maintain road infrastructure and waste services across the Mount Isa Mines and George Fisher Mine leases. This residential role operates on a 7/7 roster with 12-hour day shifts, averaging 42 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have grader operator experience; loader, dozer and landfill compactor experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Multi Skilled Grader Operator to join the Isa Surface Fleet Roads & Waste team. Reporting to the Roads & Waste Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining critical road infrastructure, landfill operations and waste management services across the Mount Isa Mines and George Fisher Mine leases. Grader experience is essential, while loader, dozer and landfill compactor experience is highly regarded. Training and development will be provided to the successful candidate.

This residential role operates on a 7/7 roster (12-hour day shifts, 42-hour average week).

• Grader operator experience is essential
• Loader, dozer and landfill compactor operating experience is highly regarded
• Proven experience in heavy machinery operations would be advantageous
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Flexible attitude and sound work ethic
• Ability to achieve results within the specified time frames
• Strong customer focus is required as well as a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work well within a team environment or with minimal supervision
• The ability to successfully complete a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
