Job summary

KFI Toowoomba is seeking a Field Service Mechanic – Road Transport. Based in Toowoomba, you’ll service heavy vehicles and diesel equipment primarily on-site and on the road, tackling mine site and civil project breakdowns across metro Brisbane.

Dual-trade or upskilling options are on the table. Expect autonomy, solid pay with allowances and bonuses, and a clear growth path into supervision or specialist roles as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Qualified heavy vehicle mechanic or diesel fitter.
• Real field service experience on the road, not just in the shed.
• Mining or civil machinery experience is a big plus.
• Ability to run a job with minimal oversight and communicate with clients.
• Safety-first mindset and pride in workmanship.

We're a growing workshop based in Toowoomba and we need someone to support our expansion in to metro Brisbane.

The job:

Heavy vehicle and diesel fitting work, mostly out on the road. Workshop when it makes sense, but you'll spend plenty of time troubleshooting trucks and machinery on-site — mine sites, civil jobs, wherever the work takes you.

Dual-trade or upskilling opportunities are on the table if you're keen.
