Shire of Banana is seeking a skilled Truck Operator to efficiently operate a range of Council rigid trucks and road plant for maintenance and construction projects within the Shire. You will comply with safety standards and work across locations as required.

The role requires a Queensland HC licence and commitment to safety, maintenance, and accurate record-keeping, with readiness to perform basic repairs and assist with traffic management as needed.

Qualifications

• Queensland HC class manual driver's licence is compulsory.
• QLD General Safety Induction – White or Blue Card required.
• Desirable: Implement Traffic Management Plans (ITMP).
• Desirable: Traffic Controller Licence.
• Desirable: Other Plant Operator Tickets.

Responsabilités

• Operate and control a truck safely and efficiently to support road maintenance and other council activities.
• Provide high-quality plant operation services across locations within and outside the Shire.
• Assess site conditions and apply appropriate techniques for safe truck operations.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine servicing to plant and equipment.
