Job summary

Bega Valley Shire Council seeks a Plant Operator Grader to operate grader and other plant across road construction and maintenance projects in the BVSC area.

The role requires SafeWork NSW Construction Induction and a Civil Plant Licence or competency, with proven experience in unsealed pavement asset maintenance and earthmoving tasks. It is a permanent, full-time position with a 38-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a grader on road assets and unsealed pavement maintenance.
• Three years of recent plant experience on road construction/maintenance projects.
• Civil works experience including earth moving, drainage, and environmental controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate Grader and other plant/equipment for road construction and maintenance.
• Assist planning, scope, and scheduling of works; review plans and provide recommendations.
• Maintain workplace records, logbooks, timesheets, incident reports and quality assurance records.
• Capture maintenance data using proprietary software and ensure accurate reporting.
