Parkes Shire Council is seeking a Grader Operator in the Operations team to support road construction and maintenance across the Shire. You will operate a Grader and may assist with set out, traffic control and supervising on-site work under the direction of Works Supervisors.

In this role you will primarily operate a Grader for the construction and maintenance of Council's road infrastructure. You may be required to undertake a variety of other activities associated with civil construction, including but not limited to:
The successful applicant requires strong communication and teamwork skills and will have the opportunity to work throughout the Shire. The role will allow you a level of autonomy, however day to day directions will be provided by the Works Supervisors.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
The role has been evaluated as being Grade 9 of the Council's salary structure with a commencing salary of $70,108.50 ($35.48 to $40.80 per hour). The commencing salary to be determined upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidates.
