Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a truck driver to join the Works section. You will drive a truck for an urban gang and undertake road construction and general maintenance duties.

To be successful you must hold NSW Class MR Licence, truck experience up to 10,000kg GVM, White Card, and the ability to work as part of a team. The role is permanent full-time with standard hours and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Must hold NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence and experience with trucks up to 10,000kg GVM.
• Ability to operate basic truck maintenance and mechanical tasks.
• Chainsaw ticket and experience with drainage maintenance.
• Experience operating small construction plants.
• Able to meet physical labour demands.
• Adequate numeracy and literacy skills

Responsibilities

• Drive the assigned truck for road construction and maintenance tasks.
• Operate basic truck maintenance and perform routine checks.
• Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.
• Adhere to safety and health policies; complete pre-employment checks.
• Attend to required rostered hours and physical labour tasks.
