Job summary

Quilpie Shire Council is seeking a Multi-Skilled Plant Operator to build and maintain roads for our community in Western Queensland. You will report to the Road Construction and Maintenance Supervisor and manage plant operations across key projects, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland HR Class Driver’s Licence is required.
• Certificates of Competency for a Roller and Loader are required.
• Current General Construction Induction Card is required.
• Ability to operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Up-to-date knowledge of construction and maintenance techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform road maintenance, road construction, structures, concrete and related operations.
• Operate plant in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and ensure work is efficient.
• Complete daily plant and sign sheets and record gravel quantities, chainages and work category.
• Maintain plant and equipment in good condition and report defects promptly.
