Job summary

Central Highlands Regional Council in Emerald, QLD is recruiting a Road Construction Inspector to monitor, inspect and report on roadworks to ensure compliance with designs, standards and safety.

The role operates on a 9/5 roster and involves camping on site. We seek candidates with 5+ years in civil construction management, QA/contract administration, knowledge of Austroads/TMR standards, a QLD C class provisional license and a White Card, plus strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Construction Management.
• Experience in Quality Assurance and Contract Administration.
• Knowledge of road construction plant and equipment operations, specifications, and limitations.
• Knowledge of Austroads and TMR standards.
• Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver's licence.
• General Construction Induction (White card).
• Traffic Management Implementation (or ability to obtain).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to working autonomously and within a diverse technical team environment.

Responsibilities

The Road Construction Inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting and reporting on roadconstruction works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, standards, quality
requirements, safety obligations and contractual requirements.

This role works a 9/5 roster and the successful applicant will be required to camp.
