Job summary

Dubbo Base Hospital in Dubbo, NSW, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Intensive Care Unit on a five-week contract from 12 October 2026 to 18 November 2026. The role fosters high-acuity care within a multidisciplinary team in a busy ICU.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration, ALS certification, and ideally a postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing for advanced practice.

Dubbo Base Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Intensive Care Unit on a five-week contract basis, commencing 12 October 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy, high-acuity clinical environment where your expertise will directly support critically ill patients and their families. The role offers focused, meaningful work in a structured ICU setting with a defined end date of 18 November 2026.

• Five-week contract placement in a Level 4 ICU environment
• Work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in critical care
• Based in Dubbo, with a clear start and end date for planning and flexibility

Preferred Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working in an intensive care unit setting
• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills in high-acuity care
• Ability to manage complex patient needs and respond to rapid changes in condition
• Excellent communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary ICU team
• Current knowledge of ICU protocols, equipment, and clinical best practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Post-graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent experience in ICU
