Job summary

The ACT Insurance Authority invites Expressions of Interest for the role of Director, Risk Management. This is a temporary leadership position focused on promoting enterprise risk management best practices across the ACT Government and supporting a positive risk culture aligned with the Territory-wide policy framework.

Key responsibilities include engaging with agencies to implement the forthcoming Risk Management Policy and Framework 2026, and guiding the rollout of a new risk reporting system

Qualifications

• Desirable qualification in Risk Management or Public Policy/Administration.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in public sector risk governance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to promote enterprise risk management across ACT Government.
• Engage with risk community to implement the ACT Government Risk Management Policy and Framework 2026.
• Support design of a new risk management and reporting system and related processes.
