Job summary

Australian Retirement Trust is seeking a Risk and Compliance Advisor to support risk data quality, incident management, and control frameworks across ART Life. The role involves stakeholder engagement and a focus on process improvement in a highly regulated environment.

Based in Brisbane or Sydney, the position offers hybrid work with opportunities to contribute to meaningful risk outcomes while developing expertise in financial services risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk, compliance, assurance or operational control environments.
• Attention to detail enabling structured, process-driven work.
• Able to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Able to analyse data and produce accurate documentation.
• Builds strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience in life insurance, superannuation or regulated financial services is highly regarded.
• Exposure to incident, complaints or operational risk processes.
• Familiar with regulatory obligations and risk, incident or case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of risk and compliance activities in line with frameworks and business requirements.
• Manage incidents through screening, assessment, triage, classification, remediation tracking and closure.
• Investigate recurring incidents and contribute to remediation actions.
• Partner with incident owners to ensure timely, documented actions.
• Maintain and improve control documentation for audit readiness.
• Support review and operation of key controls across the business.
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of risk, control and incident data and reporting inputs.
• Assist stakeholders in understanding and applying risk and compliance processes.
