Job summary

The Star Brisbane is seeking a Risk & Compliance Analyst to strengthen the risk and compliance framework. You will conduct control testing, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations to improve governance and regulatory compliance across the property.

Qualifications

• Prepare clear, accurate governance and reporting documentation.

Join The Star Brisbane as a Risk & Compliance Analyst and help strengthen the risk and compliance framework that supports one of Australia's leading entertainment destinations. In this impactful role, you'll conduct control testing, identify risk and compliance gaps, and provide practical recommendations that enhance operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance. Working closely with business leaders and the Risk & Compliance team, you'll support risk assessments, incident and breach management, and the implementation of robust controls across the property.

You'll play a key role in building risk awareness, delivering meaningful insights, and driving continuous improvement in governance and compliance practices. If you're analytical, collaborative, and passionate about helping organisations manage risk effectively, we'd love to hear from you.

What We're looking for:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to work with stakeholders to gather clear and accurate information.
• Compliance Interpretation: Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate compliance obligations, including legislative, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse breach data, identifying trends, and recognising emerging or systemic issues that require remediation.
• Root Cause Analysis: Ability to conduct structured investigations and identifying underlying process, system, or control failures that contribute to breaches.
• Reporting & Governance: Ability to prepare clear, accurate documentation.
  

2-4 years of experience within the casino, hospitality, finance, audit, law or another regulated industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right candidate.
