Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a collaborative operations team responsible for enterprise Linux environments, Azure cloud infrastructure, monitoring platforms, and business-critical services. This is a hands-on role focused on reliability, security, and performance of infrastructure.

Flexible and remote working arrangements are available, with an initial onboarding period onsite in Canberra to support knowledge transfer and integration with the broader team.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management capability.
• Understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure fundamentals.
• Experience working within operational support or infrastructure environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise Linux server environments.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance activities.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and operational issues.
• Support Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Assist with application deployments, upgrades, and platform maintenance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Support security, compliance, and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, support teams, and stakeholders to ensure reliable service delivery.
