Job summary

Kiara Designs is a well-established Australian-based residential design company. We are seeking an experienced REVIT Residential Draftsperson to join our team and work with us remotely.

You will produce accurate residential working drawings and construction documentation in line with NCC and building regulations, coordinating with engineers and consultants to ensure consistency and quality. • 3+ years of residential drafting experience using REVIT.
• Australian Volume building drafting experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential construction and documentation.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Job description

The successful candidate will work across a diverse range of residential projects and will be responsible for producing accurate, high-quality documentation in accordance with Australian building requirements and company standards.

Key responsibilities

Produce high-quality residential working drawings and construction documentation using REVIT

Prepare and amend drawings in accordance with client variations, engineering documentation, energy rating requirements and building regulations

Review plans for compliance with relevant Australian requirements, including National Construction Code (NCC), ResCode, Small Lot Housing Code where applicable, Australian Standards, and local council requirements

Coordinate architectural documentation with engineering and other consultant information

Maintain consistency, accuracy and quality across all drawing sets

Identify documentation issues and resolve discrepancies before drawings are issued

Work collaboratively with the Kiara Designs team while managing assigned projects independently

About you

Minimum 3+ years of residential drafting experience using Autodesk REVIT

Australian Volume building drafting experience is highly preferred

Strong understanding of residential construction and documentation

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities

Ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Good written and verbal English communication skills

Reliable internet connection and own laptop/PC suitable for remote REVIT work
