Job summary

IPAR in Port Macquarie is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant who is a Registered Psychologist or Rehabilitation Counsellor to support diverse clients across Workers Compensation, CTP, life insurance, and other programs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver occupational rehabilitation and meaningful return-to-work outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling.
• General or Provisional registration with AHPRA.
• Eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC.
• A NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload with support from Rehabilitation Assistants.
• Apply clinical expertise to improve return-to-work outcomes.
• Partner with employers and employees to deliver injury prevention and workplace education programs.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, insurers and healthcare professionals.
• Conduct a range of clinical and vocational assessments: initial, workplace and functional capacity assessments.
• Identify barriers and design practical solutions to support recovery and return to work.
