Job summary

General Pants in Karrinyup, WA, is seeking a Senior Sales Assistant to elevate the GP experience on the shop floor. You’ll drive authentic customer connections, promote selling energy, and take ownership of store operations—opening, closing and ensuring systems run smoothly.

You’ll mentor teammates, lead floor recovery and merchandise refresh, and act as the on-shift go-to person when a manager isn't present. The role offers growth within a dynamic fashion retailer.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in a retail, hospitality or customer-facing role.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to connect with people.
• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a genuine and positive experience for every customer and drive KPI performance to meet sales targets.
• Opening and closing the store in line with GP security procedures, alarm management and daily checklists.
• Mentoring and coaching team members, helping them build product knowledge, confidence and capability on the floor.
• Leading floor recovery and merchandise refresh to keep the store commercial and on-brand.
• Acting as the go-to person on shift for questions, escalations and problem solving when a manager isn't on the floor.
• Supporting loss prevention, stock management and store presentation standards at all times.
