Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking a Retail Supervisor to oversee our Samaritans shops in Newcastle. You will supervise both paid and volunteer staff and help drive shop performance.

The casual role includes rostering, data entry, basic financial calculations and some shop cleaning tasks, along with sorting and distributing donated goods.

We welcome applicants with prior experience in a similar role and a commitment to excellent customer service, with flexible work arrangements.

Newcastle Anglican has a rare opportunity for a Retail Supervisor across our Samaritans shops. You will be responsible for supervising staff (both paid and unpaid) and the performance of the shops.

This is a casual vacancy.

• Supervision and mentoring of volunteer team members, including allocation of daily tasks.
• Administration duties will include a range of activities from rostering to data entry and completing financial calculations all of which may be completed on a computer.
• Domestic duties within the shop may include, vacuuming, wiping down benches, moping, scrubbing and cleaning toilets along with other general domestic duties.
• Assist with the sorting and distribution of donated goods.
