Job summary

Tarampa Servo, operated by SKM Trading Pty Ltd, in Tarampa, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead its day-to-day operation. You will oversee the service station and convenience store, manage staff, stock, customer service and financial controls, reporting to the Director to keep the site safe, compliant and profitable.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong organisational skills, solid commercial judgement and a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Retail Management, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail management or supervisory role.
• Experience in convenience retail, fuel or hospitality is highly regarded.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of stock control, cash handling and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the service station and convenience store.
• Recruit, train, roster and supervise retail staff.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and handle feedback.
• Manage stock ordering, supplier relationships and inventory control.
• Monitor sales, margins and expenses against targets and budgets.
• Handle cash reconciliation, banking and end-of-day reporting.
• Plan product displays, pricing and in-store promotions.
• Ensure fuel, food safety, WHS and licensing compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-presented site.
• Oversee fuel deliveries, tank checks and site safety procedures.
• Prepare regular performance reports for the Director.
• Implement strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
