Job summary

Best- is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning and delivery of retail fit-outs and store developments across its network. You will own projects from approval to handover, ensuring compliance with brand standards, safety, timelines and budgets while coordinating trades in live environments.

You will collaborate with architects, builders and landlords, manage risks, and keep stakeholders informed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction and fit-out projects in retail or shopping centre environments.
• Strong commercial mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage risks, cost and time across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Preparing new stores in line with approved plans and specifications
• Delivering projects to agreed schedules and budgets with supporting documentation
• Developing and maintaining detailed project plans to track progress and milestones
• Coordinating shopfitters, flooring contractors, electrical contractors, and other trades during fit-out
• Issuing tenders, assessing supplier quotations, and raising purchase orders
• Managing approved variations, issuing defect lists, and maintaining project file notes
• Liaising closely with architects, builders, project managers, landlords, and building certifiers throughout delivery
• Organising and submitting council building permits and coordinating inspections
• Ensuring all compliance documentation is obtained, including permits and engineer certifications
• Proactively identifying risks and escalating issues to management
• Keeping internal stakeholders informed of progress, delays, or challenges
• Maintaining and developing a reliable and high-performing supplier and shopfitter base
• Managing stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth delivery in live retail environments
