Job summary

Clark Rubber on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to deliver top-tier service and ensure a clean, well-merchandised store. You will help customers find products, answer questions, and process sales at the register, while maintaining stock and planograms.

Ideal candidates have a current driver’s license, retail experience, and a friendly, team-oriented attitude. Basic computer skills and physical fitness for stock handling are expected.

Qualifications

• Have a current drivers license
• Preferably retail experience
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
• Ideally an understanding and experience of sales i.e. retail, merchandising, customer service with knowledge of Swimming Pools highly regarded.
• Knowledge or interest in swimming pool and spa products and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers courteously and efficiently ensuring the highest level of customer service standards are met at all times.
• Assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
• Assisting customers through answering queries and providing guidance and advice on product selection.
• Pool water testing and assist customers in selecting pool and spa chemicals, accessories, and equipment.
• Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately.
• Stocking shelves and displaying product in accordance with planograms and to our Merchandising Standards.
• Ticketing items within the store in accordance with the Merchandising Standards.
• Start and End of day register balancing/counting.
• Managing customer refunds in accordance with our Refund Policy and approval process with Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Follow and complete housekeeping tasks as listed on the Daily and Weekly Action Lists.
• Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
• Receiving and storing stock deliveries as required.
• Other tasks and duties as directed
