Job summary

Petstock Group in Sydney is seeking a passionate Retail Assistant to provide exceptional customer service for pets and their people, helping customers select the best food, toys and care products while maintaining a tidy, welcoming store.

You will learn from the team, aim to hit sales targets, keep stock up-to-date, and contribute to a friendly, safe, and inclusive store culture. Weekend and public holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Passion for animals and providing excellent customer service.
• Experience in a similar retail environment.
• Ability to drive and exceed sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team.
• Physically fit to lift products up to 20kg and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions.
• Educate customers on the best care and products for their pets using gained knowledge.
• Complete memorable sales transactions and work toward store sales goals.
• Maintain high store presentation and ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Keep knowledge up to date on pet care, products and services.
• Contribute to a fun, supportive in-store culture and a strong safety mindset.
