Job summary

Dyson Castle Hill Demo Store seeks a Retail Sales Assistant to enthusiastically demonstrate our technology, assist customers, and enhance the owner experience. You will explain features, perform hands-on diagnostics, and cross-sell Dyson products and services to existing owners.

We value a proactive attitude, strong customer service, and experience in premium retail. You will contribute to KPIs, merchandising, and accurate record-keeping in a vibrant Dyson environment.

• Customer service or sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage store visitors with hands-on product demonstrations across Dyson categories.
• Take ownership of customer issues by performing diagnostics and troubleshooting to achieve first-touch resolution.
• Advise customers of promotions and new technology by cross-selling Dyson products and services.
• Advise customers of repair options and pricing.
• Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions using CRM and Mypos systems.
• Process shipping labels and dispatch customer machines using courier services; handle payments and end-of-day balances.
• Respond to email requests from managers and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with general store operations, merchandising, and stock visibility.
• Take responsibility for achieving individual and store KPIs including sales and customer service.

About the Role

Located at our Demo Store in Castle Hill, our Retail Sales Assistants are enthusiastic brand ambassadors, providing the ultimate owner experience explaining our technology, support queries, answering technical questions about machines and cross‑selling Dyson products and services to existing owners. Our Retail Assistants are Dyson advocates who know our technology inside out and are excited by it. They are the face of Dyson, connecting our world leading and pioneering technology with shoppers and owners.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-

Proactively engage store visitors with hands‑on product demonstrations tailored to their needs across all Dyson categories (Floor Care, Environmental Control, Personal Care, and Professional)

Take ownership of customer issues by performing hands‑on technical diagnostics and troubleshooting to achieve first‑touch resolution

Take personal responsibility for advising customers of promotions and new technology by cross‑selling Dyson products and services

Advise customers of repair options and pricing

Maintain accurate records of all customer account details and interactions using store databases, CRM, and Mypos systems

Process shipping labels and dispatch customer machines using courier services

Process payments via cash, credit card, or cheque and complete end‑of‑day balances

Respond to email requests for information from managers and internal stakeholders

Complete office administrative duties, including filing invoices, embossing, and gift wrapping

Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising, ensuring correct pricing, executing point‑of‑sale material, and reporting display or fixture maintenance needs

Monitor stock levels to ensure all Dyson products are out on display, fully operational, and available

Assist with general store operations, including the cleaning and tidying of communal areas

Take personal responsibility for achieving individual and store KPIs, including sales volume, conversion rates, premium mix, customer service, and overall store profitability

Utilise the "How to Sell" framework (Engage, Explore, Explain, Execute) alongside ongoing coaching from the Store Manager to deliver high-quality customer interactions

Customer service and/or sales experience

Experience within a premium retail environment is advantageous

An understanding of retail principles such as visual merchandising and sales targets
