Job summary

Nq Water Services Pty is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for our West Mackay store in Queensland. You’ll help customers, explain pumping and irrigation products, and drive sales with a friendly, team-focused approach.

Ideal candidates will have retail experience and a passion for customer service. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, supporting stock management, product displays, and POS transactions to ensure a smooth shopping experience for our local community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar retail role.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional retail customer service.
• Experience with pumping and irrigation products is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance when needed.
• Understand customers’ needs and recommend pumping and irrigation products based on their requirements.
• Provide product information, specifications, pricing details, and answer any related questions.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain an organized display area by restocking shelves, arranging merchandise neatly, and ensuring product availability.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly by listening attentively, addressing issues professionally, or escalating them as necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends related to pumping and irrigation products through ongoing training or self-study.
