Job summary

CBRE in Sydney is seeking a Retail Property Management Accountant to own the financial reporting and accounting outcomes for a portfolio of retail properties. You will manage monthly reporting, variance analysis and stakeholder engagement with experienced property finance professionals.

You will prepare management accounts, assist with budgets and forecasts, and perform balance sheet reconciliations, outgoings calculations and revenue/expense analyses to support decision making and performance

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Working towards CA or CPA, or interested in commencing.
• Previous experience within retail or commercial property accounting is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Analyse property performance and provide variance commentary.
• Prepare outgoings reconciliations, budgets and wash-ups.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manage percentage rent, extended trade and tenant calculations.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, budgets and forecasting.
• Outgoings and direct recovery accruals including operating expenditure accruals, income accruals and analysis.
• Managing relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
